One of the stand-out sources of protein that is consumed by many is eggs. Eggs are going to be high quality source of protein and will provide a number of different nutrients to the body so are great for helping you reach your daily goals.

With so many different ways to prepare these as well, they are one food that you should never grow bored of.

Let’s take a closer look at the nutritional content of the egg so you can see for yourself how beneficial these will be.

Major Nutrients Found In Eggs

Eggs do contain some fat as you can see from the table above so that is something that you will have to consider when adding them to your diet plan. You can separate out the yolk, where most of the fat is contained, from the white, however this will also take away much of the nutrition that the egg has to offer.

Other nutrients found in eggs include protein, vitamin B12, phosphorus, Riboflavin, and selenium, however it is slightly higher in total cholesterol so that’s something that you do need to remember.

One or two eggs per day shouldn’t pose any problems provided you are currently in good health but going beyond this amount likely wouldn’t be a wise move.

Storing/Selecting

When selecting your eggs you want to choose ones that are free from any cracks or breaks and have a good expiration date on them.

Store them in the container they come in (not in the containers in the fridge door) towards the back of the fridge where it stays the coolest.
