A Review of Your Six Pack Quest
Rating: I’ll start by letting everyone know that this Your Six Pack Quest review is a little bias, but in a good way, and I’ll tell you why. I’ve known the author and founder of Your Six Pack Quest, Vince DelMonte since university and we’ve stayed good friends over the years. I met Vince when he was still “Skinny Vinny”, the guy that might possibly blow across the street in a wind storm. DelMonte was super scrawny, super nice, and always had a smile on his face. These days he’s still a nice guy, still always smiling, but now I’d be afraid for my life of the wind storm that would knock him over. Vince’s first fitness program was his No Nonsense Muscle Gain system, which teaches men and women that were skinny like he used to be, how to build some serious muscle. His main clients were “genetically impaired” as Vince would say, and have been trying to put on muscle and weight for years. Vince’s methods have been wildly successful and and his client testimonies speak for themselves.
So when Vince told me he was going to introduce a new program for people looking to lose fat, get the six pack they’ve always wanted and get into the best shape of their lives I already knew I would likely add it to The Fat Loss Authority’s Recommend Programs. But to give DelMonte the gears a little, I started prodding him about how he needed to lay off the pasta dinners to be the spokesperson for a weight loss system. As Vince had been replying to emails and working with clients around the world, he had gained a few pounds along the way. Knowing he had to lead by example to inspire his clients, not to mention to shut me up, Vince went back into the gym. He took the picture on the left the day he decided to start training hard using his newly finished Your Six Pack Quest program on April 16, 2008.
Not only was I little sad Vince was getting back into shape because I couldn’t poke fun at him anymore, but I was blown away with the results he was getting. The picture on the right was taken May 31st, 2008, not even TWO months later. He’s shredded and lean! And sorry everyone but the shave and haircut DO NOT come with his new program. Like I said, I know Vince’s programs work. So lets get into Your Six Pack Quest and answer the key questions of WHAT is included and WHY it works. The program itself is based around Vince’s No Nonsense Muscle Building book. Just as his with his previous program, the piles of supplementary information revolve around the book. Here is the table of contents:
If you’ve read any of my other reviews you’ll notice I’m particularly supportive of programs that take the time to explain the necessity of motivation. The need to find the fuel that’s going to keep your fire burning through every day and every workout until you reach your goal. Vince covers this over sixteen pages in Chapter 2 – Your Six Pack Motivation Plan. What good is it to lose weight and get in shape only to have those results fade into the past six months later? If you end up investing in this product, PLEASE, do not skim through Chapter 2. Ask yourself the questions Vince poses to you, and dig deep to follow the guidelines he sets out. DelMonte is not the type of fitness coach to hold your hand and mommy-step you through your fitness goals. He will however, provide you with on-going support and more than enough information and tools to get there if you’re willing to invest yourself in the system; but for this to work, motivation is HUGE. The fact that you are reading this page tells me you’re already half way there and I do want to congratulate you for that. There are also many societal factors that come into play when someone makes the decision to get into shape and take their body back. Vince lays these out into what he calls the laws of attraction. It is a lengthy discussion about what current habits you might have that are seriously impairing your progress; foods, friends and hangouts are high on this list. When your best friend’s goal is to drink a case of beer every weekend or to conquer every cheesecake, that’s going to take YOUR goals and flush them right down the toilet. Your Six Pack Quest comes with a full arsenal of FREE supplementary material to help you every step of the way. The FREE Bonuses that come with Your Six Pack Quest book are more complete and professional than anything I’ve seen on or offline. For all you cynics out there, if you don’t believe me you’re welcome to search for yourself, and if you happen to find anything better let me know and I’ll send you off an extra special bonus of my own. Your Six Pack Quest’s FREE Bonus Material include
I’ve went through all of these bonuses and they’re all pure content without the fluff, but the ones that stand out to me are #1, #2, and #8 Bonus #1 The DVD Videos – Personally I’m a very visual learner, so this was very powerful stuff for me. This is over 15 HOURS of footage of Vince during his own Six Pack Quest. In follows him in the gym as he shows you every exercise necessary, and walks you through the motions of how to complete a proper workout. This is pretty cool. Not to mention the footage of Vince competing at a Fitness and Model Expo in Toronto in June of 2008. He talks to other fitness models on the go at the event, asking them questions and getting the consensus of what works for them and how they stay motivated. In my opinion this is Vince’s way of saying, ‘If you don’t believe me, maybe you’ll listen to these people”. Bonus #2 – 10 full 84day Meal Plans – this bonus does everything but come to your house and cook the meals for you. There are 10 different meal plans you can follow regardless if you need 1200 calories a day or 3000. Vince takes the guess work out of what you should eat, when and why. No brain required here. Bonus #8 – The No Nonsense Fat Loss Virtual Trainer – With this online software, you can point and click to different muscle groups of the body to learn which are the best exercises for you and how to perform them. This is an excellent compliment to increase your fitness knowledge. Shortcomings: If I had to be picky, I would say the only drawback is that there is almost TOO much information. I would suggest setting a start date 2-3 weeks after purchasing the program so that you have enough time to dissect the information and really absorb it. Watch the DVD with some friends, read through the book and maybe even sample some items from the meal plan. Vince has also added a CASH incentive for all new clients of Your Six Pack Quest. It’s a 16-week $1000 transformation challenge that runs 3x a year. You buy the program, sign up for the challenge and the best transformation wins a $1000. I think that’s pretty helpful since if you complete the challenge you’ll likely need the money to buy pants that fit. VERDICT One of the things I’ve learned about Vince from comparing his two program is that he’s very dedicated to his clients. Sure, he sells the dream on his websites like any other fitness “guru” but you can tells he’s looking for clients that are serious about giving themselves a better life. I can recall a number of occasions when Vince and I have sat down over a few beers and he’s told me how proud he was of a client that reached their goal, and that was refreshing for me. I highly recommend this program if you are a beginner looking to get into shape, or even someone looking to get back into shape.
