About The Fat Loss Authority
My name is Michael Cecchin, and I created the The Fat Loss Authority in the winter of 2008 to help those people looking to get back in control of their body and their lives.
A couple years ago my life looked like this; I sat in an office all day, answering emails, making phone calls, and managing those around me. I would usually have a cream cheese bagel for breakfast, the biggest sub-sandwich I could find for lunch, and then a huge dinner. After dinner I would be so stuffed I would just plop myself on the couch and that would be my day.
I remember looking at myself in the mirror one day and thinking, what happened to the athletic guy from university? Where did all of this extra ‘me’ come from? I felt It was not until I experienced another shift in my life that I realized it was time to take my body back.
I had no idea where to start. I was completely uneducated on nutrition and exercise and I thought to get back into shape I would have to starve myself and go to the gym seven days a week, this was very daunting. But after further examining my own inner motivations and reasons fo
r WHY I wanted to get into shape it gave me the mental power and motivation to look for answers.
We All Need Guidance
To jump into the gym and pretend I knew what I was doing would have been a disaster, I’d tried that method years before and it didn’t work. I would show up at the gym, on in my kitchen, with no plan, no direction. I would do a couple lazy exercises and head on home. Needless to say my results reflected my efforts. Its not until I found a fitness program and trainer online that I liked that I started seeing some major results. That’s really all it took, was finding a plan I liked and sticking to it no matter what stood in my way.
As I became more educated I found I did not have to be in the gym 7 days a week, the recommended amount was 3 or 4 days. But as I got accustomed to my routine and my new eating habits I hungered not for more cream cheese bagels but for better, faster results…which meant a little more exercise and a couple less cookies.
Then strange things start happening, I found myself wanting to go to the gym, and wanting to get on the treadmill. I could see my body transforming before my eyes. My face was looking slimmer, my legs were thinning out, and most importantly my belly fat was quickly becoming a thing of the past. Every day as I looked in the mirror I was so proud of myself for the progress I was making, my self-esteem was higher than it had been in years and I had never had so much energy.
Then other things started happening, when I would go out to eat it was easier for me to resist the sexy taunts of the fast food chains as I did not want to slow down the progress I had been having. Things were going great, as I noticed the opposite sex was also noticing, there was no turning back… this was my new life, and I loved it.
As I reached my goal through my own frustration, and lost the spare tire I had been carrying around with me, I wanted to help other people experience the same success. My weight loss success has completely changed my life. I feel that I am happier, I think clearer, and I want to help other people feel the same way about themselves.
The aspiration of this site is to provide a quality resource for those seeking fat loss and an increase in overall health. It offers what I learned and continue to learn about losing fat and staying healthy. My team and I have read through multiple fat loss programs and written easy to follow reviews for you on the limited programs that we liked and found useful to many of our readers and colleagues. Hopefully it will help move those with similar aspirations towards their goals quicker, saving them time and money along the way.

Its our belief that dieting for the purpose of short term fat loss only results in long-term consequences like increased weight gain, decreased metabolism, fatigue, and a host of other problems depending on which “of the moment” diets you decide to follow.
