How can you be Fit Over 40
In my search for weight loss glory I wanted to make sure The Fat Loss Authority had a quality program I could recommend to those of you that have hit the big 4-0, which I hear is now the new 3-0; but I digress.
Fit Over 40 has two main components that piqued my interest;
- Its written by a man who practices what he preaches. Jon Benson wrote this book after he conquered his own demons to put himself into the shape he's in today. I've always enjoyed reading books that come from a sense of accomplishment and pride. I find them inspirational and motivating.
- Fit Over 40 is co-authored by Tom Venuto from the hugely successful Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle program which I also recommend. Check out our review HERE. Venuto is without a doubt a professional in his field with feedback from thousands of clients so its ideal to have him detailing your workout program.
Treating your body well at any age should be a perpetual goal, but if you're getting on the health and fitness train a little later in life, you have to start somewhere. And starting with the story of someone just like you is the best way to go. Or if you're just looking to get into better shape, Benson and Venuto are ideal mentors.
Though age, in essence is just a number, there are some health and fitness aspects that change over time. Like testosterone for example, in our later years we produce less of it, making building muscle a more arduous task. Fit Over 40 addresses issues like this where other workout programs fall short.
The main reason we've chosen to feature Fit Over 40 is because the program itself is BIG on motivation. Some were ill, some overweight, and some already fairly healthy, but these are real-life examples from every day people. Fit Over 40 does not hold you to unreasonable expectations or comparing you to star athletes, movie stars and fitness models.
Part three
As I mentioned earlier, this is the portion where Tom Venuto of Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle takes over to detail an expert workout program.

Verdict

I've found that anytime you're about to embark on a difficult task, reading about like-minded people that have accomplished a similar task extremely empowering. The empowerment and sense of community that Fit Over 40 creates with the 52 case studies is fantastic.
